Magnum Photos, the most prestigious photographic
agency in
the world, is a cooperative organization fully
owned and
directed by the photographers, representing only
60 members
worldwide.
The Magnum Workshop Toronto is a five-day practice-
oriented workshop that seeks to provide personal
photographic growth in an intimate and intensive
environment.
A Magnum photographer, each with his own
distinctive style
and approach to photography, will lead a workshop.
Students
will select one of the following Magnum
photographers as a
workshop leader: Bruno Barbey, Chien-Chi Chang,
David
Alan Harvey, Christopher Anderson, Peter Marlow and Mark
Power.
For the second year, Scotiabank has partnered with
CONTACT and Magnum Photos to support the advancement
of photography. Five Scotiabank Scholarships will
be available
for Canadian students of photography currently
enrolled in an
educational institution in Canada or abroad to
attend the
workshop.
