HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Participants organize their own exhibitions in the greater Toronto area. Exhibitions must occur during the month of May, although they can begin before May 1, and end after May 31. We accept traditional exhibition venues as well as non-traditional exhibition spaces such as community centres, studios, cafes, shops, and restaurants. Exhibitions listings from CONTACT 2009 are online for you to browse.

Participants cannot register without a venue. Once you have a venue to exhibit your work in, you may register for CONTACT on our website at www.contactphoto.com. Registration closes December 16, 2009. Participation fee including GST is payable upon registration (please see fee details below). In return you will receive the benefits of registration also listed below.

Exhibition venues will benefit from increased traffic during the month of May and inclusion in the Festival Magazine and Passport which respectively have circulations of 25,000 and 100,000 copies.

2010 REGISTRATION

Register for CONTACT 2010 and join us in celebrating the 14th CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival, the world's largest annual photography event.

Through an exciting range of exhibitions, public installations, lectures, films and events, CONTACT 2010 will explore our thematic focus.

We invite you to register your photography exhibition on any subject, although a relationship to our theme is encouraged *Exhibitions must be held within the Greater Toronto Area*

Early and Non-Profit Registration Deadline: November 27, 2009

Registration Deadline: December 16, 2009

Magazine Content Deadline: January 13, 2010

Upon the Magazine Content Deadline the website is closed and exhibition listings are published as entered. When the website reopens you will be able to edit your web profile until the end of the festival.

An image for reproduction in the magazine must be sent to the CONTACT office by the Magazine Content Deadline (tiff/cmyk 300dpi scan, max 8 x 10 inches, on cd).

Registrant copies of the 2010 festival magazine will be available for pick-up only at CONTACT Festival office in late April of 2010.

Fees are due upon registration (cheque, cash, money order, and Visa & Mastercard via PayPal). A PayPal link is available upon registration, on the Invoice page.

2010 FEES including GST

$488.25	Registration - Includes one magazine listing and one website profile (exhibition details with 75 words of description, one image reproduction), and press quality image made available to press & publicists.
$446.25	Early Registration – Enjoy a reduced rate for participating in the festival by registering early.
$341.25	Non-Profit Registration - Reduced fee for organizations with proof of registered non-profit status. Contact the office for verification of your status before registering.
$131.25	Additional exhibition - Add a set of exhibition dates to the magazine listing. Note: the magazine description text(s) can be no longer than 75 words combined; each exhibition has a full web profile. *
$131.25	50 Extra words - Add an additional 50 words to your magazine exhibition description text(s) (max. 125 words per magazine listing).

* Two exhibitions with the same dates can be combined in one listing at no extra charge.
